Bareroot Shipping for Certain States: Deliveries to California (CA), Oregon (OR), Washington (WA), Arizona (AZ), Utah (UT), Idaho (ID), Nevada (NV), Montana (MT), North Dakota (ND), and South Dakota (SD) will be shipped bareroot. Bareroot plants will still arrive in a fabric grow bag.
Japanese Boxwood Characteristics
Native to Japan: This broadleaf evergreen shrub is native to certain mountainous areas in Japan.
Fast-Growing: Comparatively to other boxwood species, the Japanese boxwood grows relatively fast, reaching up to 12 inches per year.
Mature Size: Over time, it typically matures to a loose, upright form, reaching heights of 6 to 8 feet.
Leaf Features
Glossy Rounded Leaves: The leaves are glossy and rounded, measuring up to 1 inch in length.
Color Variation: Leaves will begin to turn orange-red-bronze after the first fall frost. However, they will quickly return to green in the spring, ensuring vibrant growth throughout the year.
Growing and Shipping
Nursery Pot: Currently, the plants are growing in a 1-quart nursery pot. However, they will not be shipped in a plastic pot.
