PIERIS JAPONICA MOUNTAIN FIRE is a mesmerizing plant with its brilliant red new growth in mid-May, creating a stunning landscape feature. This plant is slightly more upright than spreading and is resistant to deer, making it a reliable bloomer from late March to mid-April with its typical white Pieris flowers.

To ensure the best growth, this plant prefers well-drained, moist soil and benefits from mulching. After flowering in late spring, it is recommended to prune by cutting branches just above a set of leaves. It is also important to protect the plant from winter winds.

When purchasing this plant, it will be delivered directly from our nursery in a 2-gallon trade pot. It is fully rooted in the soil, allowing it to be planted immediately, weather permitting. However, it is not advisable to plant during the frigid winter months or under drought conditions. Planting and care instructions will be included with the shipment.
